FABRIC AND FIBRES

Percy pig has a problem.  It's cold and wet outside and he is looking for a coat that will keep him both warm and dry.  What fabric would be most suited to this type of weather?

We carried out some research on fabrics and found that it was made up of fibres.  We needed to carry out a fair test to determine the best fabric for Percy's coat.

WEAVING OUR KOROWAI/CLOAKS

We looked closely how the fibres had been woven to create a piece of fabric.  We wove strips of paper to look at how fibre was woven together.  Tequin was a super weaver and was able to help others with their weaving.  Ka pai Tequin!!
