I made a snowman. I used flowers for the buttons and leaves for its mouth. I put one of my flax hats on his head. Thanks mum for helping me build my snowman. I had to go inside after to dry my clothes and warm up. It was cold and wet outside.

Snow is great!
Snow is great! In my opinion snow is fantastic!
Firstly you can play in the snow, and make an enormous snowman and igloos.
Secondly, you can have snowball fights with your family and friends.
Thirdly, you can sometimes get the day off and have a sled ride behind the motorbike.

Woof Woof the Talking Tui
We carried out a mini inquiry for our report writing. When we were searching for information about the tui bird we came across this clever, cool tui who could talk. Who would have thought tui's could mimic a person.
PERSUASIVE WRITING
We are learning to write our own opinions and justify or back up our opinions. Some of our stories are based on our inquiry topic and some are based on our own ideas.

HOLIDAY BREAK
Kia ora koutou
Welcome back to Term 3. It sounds like many children in Room 3 have had a busy time during the holidays either traveling to other parts of New Zealand, going to Kidzone or the movies to name a few.
I have enjoyed reading your holiday stories and have posted some on this blog. We like to hear what you have to say about our stories so please post a comment when you read our stories.
