Dogs

My poem was inspired by our dogs at home Tousa and Polly.
Polly loves to dig big holes and Tousa is very growly, he is the best fighter because he bites the other dogs.

My Dog Pat

My dog Pat is all white and he's got a very sore leg so he is limping around.  Pat has only eight teeth but he still can eat well and his favourite food is beef jerky.
Pat went to pet day with Archie and I. He stood up on his two back legs.
Pat is very fluffy for a Chihuahua X. Pat is 14 in human years and 56 in dog years!

We have had Pat for about four years and I love him very much!!!

CAT MASK!

On pet day at school I made a cat mask.
First I had to colour it in, I choose yellow, green and red. When I had finished colouring it in I had to cut it out. Then I had to put a string on it, that fitted my head.

When we had finished Mrs R read us a book.

My Cat Ophelia

Ophelia is my families cat. Ophelia drinks water and eats cat food out of her automatic feeder.
Ophelia likes to play with string and shoe laces.
Ophelia loves cuddles. She enjoys rubs on her tummy.
Our cat is special because she has had two litters of kittens and she can open the door all by herself.

My Rabbit Mudflap

My rabbit jumps up and down and he eats grass.  He has a brown nose and white feet.
His name is Mudflap, I named him Mudflap because I heard the name on a movie. The movie was called Transformers.
Mudflap likes to climb up and down his ramp in his hutch.
I like to cuddle and feed Mudflap everyday.

My Lamb Katie

My lamb Katie is funny, because she bounces around. Katie likes to suck your finger and she likes cuddles.
Katie is white, with a cute tail. She eats grass and milk.
I got Katie from dad's friend last term.
I took Katie to pet day at school. Katie won a ticket for the lamb drinking race. I was very proud of her.

When I call him he comes. Bray sleeps in the sun room.

'Hunter' The Best Dog EVER!!

My dog Hunter is the best dog ever, because she can sit or speak up when we tell her to.
Hunter's favourite game is playing chase around the couch, which is lots of fun.
Hunter loves kisses and cuddles everyday.
Hunter is a Huntaway sheep dog, she is also a girl. Her colouring is black, white and tan.
My dog works the sheep, but she is also part of the family who sleeps inside on mum and dads bed.

My lamb 'Wrestler'

My  lamb  ran  away  from me, because I was running to catch him. I needed to catch him to put him on the lead, so I could lead him around the shed.
Wrestler has brown knees and black eyes. He likes to hide under my tractor
Everyday Wrestler likes to run around bucking and being silly, which makes me feel happy.

SNOW IS TERRIBLE!!!

Snow is dangerous!
Firstly, I think snow is terrible because the snow covers the ground and trees therefore the sheep and other animals can't get to the grass and other food.
Secondly, when you drive on the road you could easily skid and slide because the snow covers the roads and it makes them slippery.
Thirdly, buildings can collapse because snow keeps falling and piling up so that the snow gets too heavy for the roof to hold.
DID YOU SEE STADIUM SOUTHLAND ON T.V?
Lastly,  people could slip over and get injured then the hospitals might get full of people.
So, snow is dangerous and terrible!

SNOWING AROUND WITH DANIEL

I made a snowman.  I used flowers for the buttons and leaves for its mouth.  I put one of my flax hats on his head.  Thanks mum for helping me build my snowman.  I had to go inside after to dry my clothes and warm up.  It was cold and wet outside.

Snow is great!

Snow is great! In my opinion snow is fantastic!
Firstly you can play in the snow, and make an enormous snowman and igloos.
Secondly, you can have snowball fights with your family and friends.
Thirdly, you can sometimes get the day off and have a sled ride behind the motorbike.

Woof Woof the Talking Tui

We carried out a mini inquiry for our report writing.  When we were searching for information about the tui bird we came across this clever, cool tui who could talk.  Who would have thought tui's could mimic a person.

PERSUASIVE WRITING

We are learning to write our own opinions and justify or back up our opinions.  Some of our stories are based on our inquiry topic and some are based on our own ideas.
